Trip Overview
Embark on a 4-day safari starting with an arrival in Serengeti National Park, where you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive to explore its rich wildlife. The following day is dedicated to full-day game drives, offering opportunities to witness the Serengeti’s diverse fauna and the Great Migration (seasonal). On Day 3, transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and take an afternoon game drive in the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, known for its high wildlife concentration. Finally, spend the morning of Day 4 exploring the crater or visiting Maasai villages before departing for Arusha or your next destination. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti Arrive at the Serengeti National Park, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your lodge or camp. After settling in, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, exploring its vast plains and spotting wildlife such as lions, elephants, and giraffes. As the sun sets, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Serengeti Spend a full day immersed in the Serengeti’s spectacular landscapes. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, discovering the park’s diverse ecosystems and observing the Great Migration (seasonal). The Serengeti offers incredible wildlife sightings, so keep an eye out for the Big Five and other iconic species. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, check into your lodge and then head out for an afternoon exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its dense concentration of wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your game drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Departure Spend the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater further or visit nearby Maasai villages for a cultural experience. After lunch, begin your journey back to Arusha or your onward destination. Depending on your departure schedule, you might have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Arusha before your flight.
